Ok, so with all the problems we've been having with Trappy's new PC, I just completely reformatted the whole thing, re-partitioned the hard drives, and reinstalled Vista (WITHOUT all that crap that comes when you buy a new PC).
Things seem to be a bit better.
I was wondering, is it possible to install Steam on a partition other than the one that Vista is on?

not a vista expert..........but
keeping OS and programs/data on separate drives or partitions should be OK
it is an accepted practice on older windows OS

Actually, one OS, two drives. I want Steam on the non-OS drive. I installed it. I'll post up what happens when I try it.

I'm assuming you mean you have like a data partition (probably labeled D: ) on your computer? Shouldn't be any problem installing Apps on that partition.

Exacharray what I meant. I went ahead and ran the install and it seemed to go just fine. I just gotta test it out now.
