If you haven't noticed already, Speed is now in charge of the Player Complaints section. If you have any ideas, suggestions or concerns with any current or past complaints filed here, please talk directly to Speed or myself. He is solely in charge of the Demo Review Board discussions. I try to keep my nose out of that section unless I'm absolutely needed in there. We're still looking for active participants from some of our regulars. Please send Speed a PM if you are interested.
Bartok will be in charge of the COD:WW server. He will solely be overseeing the slow and painful task of polishing out the mapcycle to something that pleases the masses. Any questions concerning that server can be directed towards Bartok or myself.
I will still be in charge of all things COD4.
That is all :)

Cool,if only there was a way to have more admins on. The Player Complaints section is great but most rule breakers are just assholes that when you tell them they cant use explosives until 2:40 just say LOL and keep doing until they are bored and never come back.Like a couple of days ago this person just early naded until he got an AS and kept getting a new Airstrike for every round. Therefore messing with our gameplay for some time. Having them banned a day after the offense is ok but the deed is already done.
Is there a way to enable ingame voting?

i do not think that in game voting would be a very good idea. i have played on some other servers where people come in start a vote to kick an admin then leave before they can get the guid of the player. Especially on the WaW server i have noticed that most of the time the majority of the population is made up of multiple people from different clans, a vote to remove a member of one clan might start a mini clan war....and that would not be good.
...well that is just what i think about that

Most GA members have Xfire and are willing to go in and help if needed.

Those random asshats you complain about would abuse it. Trying to change maps, restart maps, kick other players, etc.

well there is a time at night that there realy is not a admin on for some reason it seems like the 10yr old kids are on at 5am just to cause problems from germany or where ever. i know this is a time for demos. it would also be helpfull if we had the console spam the rules also in german and french is what we see most of at night i think i cant read it so it looks like gibberish too me. maybe we can get a late night admin with the new selection going on and all???????(hint hint at some of the very nice late night GA regulars)

This is a very typical scenario. I don't generally like large quantities of 1 clan in a server even if voting is off. If you piss one off and he leaves, the others tend to as well and then you're stuck with a 4-6 player gap on the server. One of the main reasons I'm weary of clans that pub on other servers. Generally nothing but trouble, but there are occasions some stand out from the rest.

I know you can't really compare how Steam-based games work compared to CoD games since they're completely different but we've tried having voting enabled in the past in CS/DoD and it just never works as intended. More of a headache than anything else.

Bottom line is giving random people any control (no matter how little) over the server is always a bad idea. I have no doubt you've seen it work from time to time, but I've also seen it NOT work from time to time as well. And unfortunately negative reactions to something like vote kicking stick longer in people's minds than positive ones. Vote kick someone for early nading and people will think awesome and then forget about it in less than a minute. Vote kick someone off the server that doesn't deserve it, they may never come back to play on the server again. Not quite worth the risk.

I concur. I was playing on a bolt action rifle only server and got vote kicked for wall hacking. Did I wall hack? Hell no! But most people there just autovote yes.

unless it is a real jerkface that really needs kicking and then they all ask "why? what did he do? he is a reg here. don't dis the regs"

No.
There were a few non-members given the ability to use the say command when the server was still new though.

The only non-GA person that has any PB access is Stu and that is limited to console say commands.

Admins and regulars have done a good job on these Anal Apetures. Take a name, or find someone on Xfire. The server is Great, GA.

You could try giving Sleshy a foot rub...it didn't work for me, but it's worth a shot.:icon_redface:
