I've decided to play cod4's single player mode.
I have to admit its quite fun. I like some of the double attachments. My favorite level so far is when you do the sniper mission .
Although its a bit heavy on the grenade spam (playing vet mode)

I always thought single player was pretty fun. AI is semi-intelligent and the missions are fun. Sniper level was my favorite as well.

Vet mode kinda takes the fun out of some of the game. If you think nade spam is bad now, wait til you get to the hangar level (when you drop down the missle silo's on Countdown). Make sure you have one of those stress balls lying around on your desk somewhere.

Yea that level gave me the most problems. Mostly because in the lower levels where its pretty much CQC and your AI allys are useless. Also doesn't help that the second you start to turn the corner they alright are shooting/hitting you.
But besides that one level, vet mode really didn't frustrate me at all. You just get to enjoy the game more when not playing in vet. Probably because you see red most of the time. :P

Yeah the single player is really fun. I can't wait for 2's single player. As much fun as the online sounds I think the single play will have the most improvements.

I remember reading an interview where even the developers recommended that you played the game the first time through on the normal setting first. Not because they thought people wouldn't be able to beat it on Veteran, they just said that it was a better experience. And they were right, I thoroughly enjoyed it on Normal, although I think I actually played it on Hardened. Only thing I played on Vet was the Mile High Club.

CoD SP's have always been alot of fun. Even CoD:WaW's, that game has one of my favorite missions throughout all of the CoD's.
Beat CoD4 on Normal for PC and then after many cigarettes and many bruises on my leg from punching myself out of frustration, I beat it on Veteran on the 360.
